© The Wayward Plant Registry
The Halfway Home for Wayward Plants took in unwanted plants and common weeds from seven community gardens in New York City and offered them to visitors for adoption. The Halfway Home seeks to bring attention to the beautiful aspects of weeds, and save plants from disposal as waste. Potential adopters must fill out a form describing the environment they will be bringing the plant into and committing themselves to the care of the plant. Heather Ring is an artist working in Boston and London.

Very cool!
Sounds just like a long-term version of a seed swap but with extra paperwork. Gardeners are usually very generous with extra plants anyway, they aren't the people we need to educate
That gardeners are generous with plants is exactly why this sort of thing could work well. Geurilla gardeners often have to spend their own money to plant public spaces. People living on limited incomes can't afford to buy plants. This program links generous gardeners with people willing to garden that don't have plants. It isn't a swap. It's an "adoption" service.
Great post.Thanks. Dış Cephe
