La clôture Table Tennis Fence renverse la fonction traditionnelle de la clôture en tant qu’élément séparateur. C’est en fait une table encastrée qui s’ouvre et permet aux voisins de faire une partie de ping-pong, transformant la clôture en un lieu de rencontre. Le projet Share Fence, connexe, est constitué de silhouettes découpées qui prennent la forme d’outils de jardinage tels que truelle et arrosoir. Les voisins suspendent les outils à partager dans les trous où ils sont accessibles des deux côtés. Le collectif Droog Design a été fondé à Amsterdam en 1993 par Gijs Bakker et Renny Ramakers. L’agence NEXT Achitects a été créée par quatre diplômés de l’Université de technologie de Delft.
